PresenTense Colorado Fellowship Application 2016
PresenTense is seeking 15 high school students to participate in PresenTense Colorado's Fellowship that will begin in November 2016. PresenTense Fellows will participate in a six month program in which they will learn about social innovation and meaningful ways to address social issues and make a difference in their communities. PresenTense Colorado is one of 16 PresenTense programs worldwide, and is made possible by generous funding from the Rose Community Foundation, Rose Youth Foundation, and Jim Joseph Foundation.
PresenTense Colorado empowers Jewish teens to create a project, big or small, that makes a difference in their community and engages their peers. Projects can range from a student event to a small business, and anywhere in between- or outside the box! Each student will apply for up to $1000 in initial funding to help their idea come to fruition.
Fellows meet twice per month on Sundays from 4pm-7pm to practice innovative problem solving, critical thinking, and human-centered project design, discuss pressing social issues, learn fundraising and budgeting tactics, and create community with their peers. Students are partnered with a Coach, often entrepreneurs, activists, and successful professionals, who guide them through the development of their project and connect Fellows with professional networks.
Through innovative curriculum, supportive staff, and collaboration PresenTense Colorado equips Fellows with valuable and transferable skills, resulting in an engaged team of young Jewish leaders ready and able to change the world.
Please feel free to contact Sarah Cohen at sarahcohen@presentense.org or by phone at 720-541-9272 with any questions you may have.
Final application deadline is October 7, 2016.
